All Change!

Mini Fruit Tarts with a Fresh Lemon Custard

Cakes-a-go-go! will be changing our market stall attendance to once a month from now on..We will be at Stoke Newington Farmers Market, N16 on the last saturday of the month. As usual we will be providing a delicious selection of cupcakes, packets of biscuits and weird and wonderful large cakes whole, or by the slice...
We are going to be setting up a mailing list so that we can remind our loyal customers of our appearance that week and also as a way to inform you all of any news/new delights etc
Speaking of new delights; the above Mini Fruit Tarts are a new addition to our repertoire and can be ordered as part of an Afternoon Tea package (Lemon Syrup Sponge Squares, Fresh Cream Scones, Cupcakes and Tarts). Full size, or mini bitesize cakes..whichever takes your fancy...We can promise you they are ALL delicious!

See you on May 30th!

Custom Cakes are a Go-Go!

We can make ANY cake to order - Have you seen a dream cake and really want the same? Get in touch and we will do our best to replicate!
The above cake is our latest commission for a 21st birthday...Chocolate Raspberry Sponge filled with sweetened fresh raspberry double cream, topped with chocolate buttercream and fresh raspberries - Yum!
Why not go for something more unusual like our infamous Cardamom and Rosewater Coconut Syrup Cake? Or impress your friends with a beautiful Upside down Cake such as Pear and Ginger, or Apple and Raspberry for dessert?
We love to bake and we love a challenge!

Long May It Last!

Almond Sponge with Delicate Lemon Icing

Well, our third week has just flown by in another whirlwind...once again, a very successful market! We're now getting fantastic feedback from our regular customers and new ones too. Being enthusiastic about new flavours and combinations, we introduce new and exciting cakes every week.
This week we had a Rich Chocolate Fudge Cake, An Almond Sponge with a Delicate Lemon Icing, and a Really Zingy Lemon Syrup Cake. Our new introduction of Gingerbread Men and Chocolate Gingerbread Men (without the ginger and cloves, but with cocoa and cinnamon instead) were a real hit and we were delighted to see adults indulging their inner child, as well as the real youngsters!

So Easter is just around the corner.. We'll be baking some Easter Biscuits this week to celebrate.

The Pitfield's Brewery stall was at the market this week and some bottles of delicious Shoreditch Stout and 1792 Imperial Stout were purchased with the idea of a Chocolate and Stout Cake in mind for next week's big bake...Keep an eye out for it on Saturday!
